Welcome to ...
The Kamloops Naturalist Club.
February 18:  David Edwards of the BC. Wildlife Park will be giving us a presentation on snakes!  This may be the first time that we have ever had a speaker on that topic, especially one that hopes to bring along a live specimen.

March 18:  Squirrels, badgers and other critters are what Karl Larsen and some of his students will be coming to talk to us about.

An invitation to the BC Nature 2010 AGM and Convention in Kamloops
It is our great pleasure to host the 2010 AGM and Conference of BC Nature from May 13 to the 16th, 2010. In doing so, will demonstrate our commitment to the goals of BC Nature, showcase nature in the Kamloops region and have the pleasure of meeting old friends as well as welcoming new ones.  We extend an invitation to British Columbia naturalists, the many friends of nature and especially to our associates in BC Nature (F.B.C.N.) to attend part or all of this gathering. I encourage all of the members of our club to volunteer in every capacity they can. It will take pretty much all of us to help make the conference a great success.  On these pages you will find the registration form and the convention program.  Other detailed information is on the website of BC Nature. Please send in your registration as soon as you can as banquet seating is limited.  The theme of the 2010 Conference is “Grasslands, Past, Present and Future. In May new growth will be flourishing across our adjacent hills and gullies and diverse birds will be arriving. We hope you might join some of the tours and learn more about the unique and important nature of the interior grasslands – one of the most threatened environments in British Columbia. Together, we can consider the vital questions posed by the theme of the conference- while having great fun and enjoying a productive time together.

We look forward to your help and to seeing many of you in May.
