When mankind first came under the curse, there were four basic
"do" functions or
abilities which came under subjection to death. They were:
1. Reproduction
2. eating [for strength]
3. working
4. thought
The original performance of these functions was in God's eyes
"very good."
...Misuse, or disuse of these functions caused a reduction and
total disruption of
effeciency.
Closely connected with this, man also had four basic built in
emotions which
became subject to the curse of death through disobedience. These
emotions
were originally created into the spirit of man in the form of:
1. Godly fear
2. Godly anger [wrath]
3. Godly love
4 Godly sorrow
The works of the flesh are now manifest in mankind. Death
(anything that is not
in eternal life) stems from four major powers working in the
ego-soulish realm of
man's emotional makeup. These fallen emotional powers are:
1. fear
2. anger,
3. lust
4 worldly sorrow.
All death powers in the flesh can be traced to originate from one
or a combination
of these attributes, elements, powers, or whatever one would
choose to call them.
Here is a sample list of these death elements or powers and the
basic emotion
from which they operate:
FEAR--- Fear of anything or anyone. Self-preservation. Failure. Insecurity.
Doubt. worry
How did these basic death elements come about..and how might they
have
played a major role in the fall of mankind? The worldly love (a
lust) of mammon
(even possessing anyone or anything such as money) is the root of
all evil -
1Tim.6:10. Lust was in the suggestion conceived in the woman's
heart by that
subtil spirit represented by the serpent, whose mixture of good
and evil was not
yet revealed to the knowledge of the woman. Subtility
("aram" - to be or make
bare, to pile up, gather together) is a most crafty form of
worldly love which has
its roots in iniquity lust.
This basic negative power operates in many forms and guises. This
deceptive
evil power proceeded to strip the godly covering from mankind
(but only
according to God's foreordained counsel), even giving death the
possession of
the soul (the woman). Subtilty is a generated spiritual power or
force which often
operates in order to pile up or gain possession of someone or
something. The
seed word of this evil power of lust (iniquity) which contained
death, was
conceived and germinated through the negative power of a lie
which was
manifest in the garden in the subtil form of temptation, having
its roots in lust.
The word in James plainly declares the subtil enticement of
temptation to be
man's own lust, which when responded to and activated through
man's own God
given will or choice; manifests a power called sin. Sin
consequently results in all
forms of powers of death - Jas.1:14, 15. This basic form of
temptation lust,
brought into the woman's sight and knowledge, a different yet
pleasant feeling,
and along with it, a feeling of discontentment, which attitude
does contain the four
basic elements or powers of sin.
Hence began the generating (even spiritual and physical
generations) of iniquity
lust, manifesting in the disobedient act of partaking of
knowledge of the evil fruit.
This evil' fruit was sin, now come into substance or being,
through the choice and
work of presumption of the woman's flesh. The evil manifested
through, and in
the form of lust of the eyes (''pleasant to the eyes"), the
lust of the body ("good for
food"), and the pride of life (a lust "desire to make
one wise"), took form as
powers of sin, which would bring forth death - Gen.3:6.
The powers of sin which were first brought into operation through
the woman's
disobedient choice in partaking of the knowledge of the evil
fruit contained: -1.
Fear of missing out on something good, even the unknown. -2.
Sorrow that they
were missing something which appeared good; as well as sorrow
that they were
inferior to other beings. -3. Anger at God that what they were
provided with,
possibly wasn't the best.
Look at the emotion of envy revealed here in a combination of
lust, fear, sorrow,
and anger brought into focus through the iniquity found in the
woman's
presumption. Have we thought that the scripture saith in vain,
the spirit (of
iniquity) which dwelleth in us lusteth to envy - Jas.4:5.
Discontentment with
temptation had caused great loss even unto death. On the other
side, Godliness
with contentment is great gain even unto fulness of life.
Anidote For Snake bite
The anidote to deliverance basically lies in the choices we make
in the reigns of
our hearts. Choose ye this day life (through Godly love) or death
(through
ungodly lust). Deut.30:15,19. The Adam nature continues to choose
the ''I will's"
of lust (Isa.14:13.14) in disobedience rather than the ''I
will's'' of obedience -
Gen.21.24; Psa.18:1. Let those who are to be the lights of the
world choose
therefore to "Love not the world neither the things that are
in the world''
(1Jn.2:I5-16) for only in this choice shall we truly be able to
learn that "a man's life
consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth
(through lust).''
Lk.12:15.
Therefore, "let your conversation be without covetousness
and be content with
such things as ye have." Heb.13:5. "Set your affection
on things above, not on
things on the earth'' (Co1.3:5) whereby ye might become partakers
of the
precious promises having escaped (through deliverance) the
corruption (caused
by lust, fear, anger, sorrow) that is (come into and remains) in
the world through lust (the iniquityof "I will" independence) 2Ptr.1:4. This basic iniquity, constantly
compels one to carry out the desires of the flesh rather than the
will of God.
Disobedience to these commands is stubborness which is rooted in
iniquity and
idolatry - lSam. 15.23. Disobedience also is a form of rebellion
and rebellion~s as
the sin of witchcraft which (work of the flesh) has its roots in
the basic lustful
iniquity drive of ''l will (covet) (to) be like the most
high." lsa.14:14. Here, the I
will covetousness is the same rebellious lustful iniquity, and
its effects are (self)
idolatry - Col.3:5. The woman first did entertain this heart
thought, thereby
setting up the idol of self image in her heart, stumbling over
her own iniquity and
falling into sin and death - Ezk.14:3-5; Hos.14:1. "For the
iniquity of his
covetousness was I wroth (godly anger), and smote him" even
the Adam
(male-female) creation, "the souls which I have made".
Isa.57:16, 17.
In order to come back into life we must choose to obey, and this
great covering of
the mystery of iniquity shall be lifted. Our filthy
(undercovering) garments (of
fears, angers, lusts, sorrows) shall be taken away when the Lord
shall cause our
iniquity to pass from us. He shall clothe us with a change (even
from lust to
Godly love) of raiment, changing our own self idolizing
righteousness into the
pure righteousness of Christ - Zec.3:4. Only the mighty workings
of God's Spirit
in Christ has the true power which shall sanctify us unto total
obedience - IPtr.
1:2, 22.
The root of the tree of good and evil is the love of money and
that which it brings.
Whether one is willing or not, the axe of the Holy Spirit is
being sharpened and is
about to be quickly laid against this root, whereby the tree
shall be hewn down
and cast into the fire, that God might thoroughly purge the floor
of the earth in
preparation for his righteous kingdom - Matt.3:10,12.
"Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from
iniquity"
(2Tim.2:19) "looking for that blessed hope and the glorious
appearing of
the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; who gave himself for
us, that
He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a
peculiar
people, zealous of good works.'' Titus 2:13, 14.
